In this guide, you will learn how to create a Pi Network wallet correctly and easily. If you want to create a new or additional wallet on Pi Network, this guide will teach you the proper steps to ensure your wallet is set up securely.
Steps to Create a Pi Network Wallet
1. Open the Pi Browser App
To create a Pi Network wallet, you must use the Pi Browser app. Then, click on the “Wallet” icon.
⚠ Warning: Do not create a wallet through any external website or application. The correct way to create a wallet is only through the Pi Browser app and by clicking on the Wallet icon.

2. Creating the Wallet
Inside the wallet section, click the “Create New Wallet” button. If you already have a previous wallet, this button may not appear. Instead, you might see a blue link at the bottom labeled “Create Wallet”.

3. Save Your Wallet’s Secret Passphrase
After clicking “Create New Wallet”, a page will appear containing 24 random words. These words are your wallet’s private key and the only way to access your wallet and Pi coins.
Important:
- Copy these words and store them in a safe place.
- Do not share them with anyone under any circumstances, as sharing them would allow others to access and steal your Pi coins.
- For additional security, consider enabling fingerprint authentication or facial recognition to access your wallet on your device without needing the passphrase.

4. Displaying Your Wallet Address
This setting may appear the first time you create a wallet to link it to your Pi Network account. It allows you to make your wallet address publicly visible when someone searches for your username. However, you can disable this option if you prefer privacy.

5. Your Pi Network Wallet is Ready!
Your wallet is now set up and ready to receive and send Pi coins securely on the Pi Network blockchain.

Important Tips About the Pi Network Wallet
- The Pi Network wallet is exclusively used for sending and receiving Pi coins within the Pi Network. Currently, it does not support other cryptocurrencies or blockchains.
- The wallet’s secret passphrase consists of 24 random words. Keep it safe and never share it with anyone. If someone else gets access to it, they can enter your wallet and use your Pi coins at any time. The passphrase cannot be changed, and you cannot prevent access if it is exposed.
- You can create multiple Pi wallets, but only one wallet can be linked to your Pi Network account at a time.
- If you wish to change the wallet linked to your Pi Network account, repeat Steps 3 and 6 in the mainnet checklist.
- If you have shared your passphrase with someone else or a third-party website/app, your wallet is no longer secure. In that case, create a new wallet and link it to your account to protect your Pi coins.
