Pi Network Checklist Steps
In this guide, you will learn all the steps of the Pi Network Mainnet Checklist in detail. Follow the correct and simplified method to complete all steps successfully and verify your Pi Network account. To begin, open the Pi Network app and navigate to the “Checklist” section.

1. Step One: Log in to Pi Browser
- Download the Pi Browser app and log in through the checklist.
- If you haven’t installed the Pi Browser, download it here: Download Pi Browser.
- Tap Step 1: Download the Browser App and then select “Log in to Pi Browser”.
- If you see the Pi Browser applications page, you’ve successfully completed this step.
2. Step Two: Create a Pi Wallet
- Tap Step 2: Create a Pi Wallet.
- The Pi Browser will open automatically, directing you to the Pi Wallet app.
- Click “Create New Wallet” to generate your wallet.
- You will see a 24-word secret phrase—save this in a secure place.
🔴 Important Notes:
- Enable fingerprint or face recognition for easier login later.
- Store your 24-word secret phrase safely by clicking on “copy”; losing it means you will permanently lose access to your wallet.
- Never share your secret phrase with anyone, as scammers may try to steal your Pi coins.
After saving your phrase, continue with “Continue”, and your wallet will be created successfully.
3. Step Three: Confirm and Link Pi Wallet
- Tap “Confirm Your Pi Wallet” in the checklist.
- Paste your 24-word secret phrase to verify ownership.
- Click “Confirm Wallet”, then return to the checklist.
4. Step Four: Commit to Lockup Configuration
- Tap “Commit to Lockup Configuration” in the checklist.
- Locking up a percentage of your Pi increases your mining rate.
- Recommended lockup settings:
- Lockup Percentage: 100%
- Duration: 2 weeks
🛑 Note:
- Once locked, your Pi will be inaccessible until the lockup period ends.
- The lockup period starts only after Pi is migrated to your wallet.
- You cannot reduce the lockup amount or period once set.
After confirming the lockup settings, press “Commit Lockup” to finalize.
5. Step Five: Secure Your Account
- Tap “Secure Your Account” in the checklist.
- Choose “Verify with Phone Number” (recommended) or Facebook.
- If using a phone number:
- Send the verification code as an SMS from your registered number.
- Wait for confirmation (may take 1–2 minutes).
🛑 Warning:
- Do not resend the SMS multiple times to avoid getting blocked.
- If you use Facebook, make sure your Facebook name matches your real name for future KYC verification.
6. Step Six: Sign the Acknowledgment
- Tap “Sign the Acknowledgment to Receive Tokens”.
- Read and agree to the Pi Network terms.
- Enter your 24-word secret phrase to confirm.
If your account is new, you might see a “Please wait and try again later!” message. In this case, wait 24 hours before retrying.
7. Step Seven: Complete KYC Verification
- KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required to prove you’re a real person.
- This step becomes available after 30 mining sessions.

- If you get a message like the image below or saying you haven’t met the requirement, check back daily until verification is available.
📌 KYC requires:
- A valid government-issued ID (passport, national ID, or driver’s license).
- A biometric face scan to match your face with your ID.
8. Step Eight: KYC Verification Status
- Once you’ve submitted KYC, check your status in Step 8.
- Status colors:
- Yellow: KYC is under review.
- Red: KYC failed—retry Step 7.
If rejected, carefully review your documents and resubmit.
9. Step Nine: Pi Coin Migration to Wallet
- This final step confirms your Pi migration to the mainnet.
- Status colors:
- Gray: Not yet eligible—complete KYC first.
- Yellow/Orange: KYC is approved, and your Pi is pending migration (14-day waiting period).
- Green: KYC and Pi migration are complete—your Pi coins are now in your wallet!

For the past two months, I have repeatedly tried to complete this step by verifying my account via both phone number and Facebook. Despite countless attempts, the verification still fails. I have sent multiple SMS messages to the number provided, tried again and again with Facebook login, but nothing works.
I have also reached out through the Pi mobile app support system multiple times and received absolutely no response. This lack of communication is unacceptable and completely unprofessional for a project claiming to be serious about building a decentralized global economy.
Meanwhile, I received a migrated balance of 576+ Pi, which was automatically returned to the Pi App—most likely due to this incomplete checklist step, which is not my fault but a clear failure on your side.
I demand immediate support and resolution. Either fix the verification process, manually mark the step as complete, or provide me with a functional alternative. I will not continue investing time and effort in a platform that ignores its users.
Please escalate this issue to someone who can take real action.

Since you are already in the queue on step 9 there is nothing to worry about.
All you need to do is wait patiently, this stage happens automatically.
Phone Verification is not mandatory, you still can be migrated. However, we highly recommend you to link your phone number and verify to increase your account security.

I completed steps 1-8 a month ago, and my KYC was successfully verified. However, my status is now showing as “tentative approval,” and the 9th step is marked in orange. The deadline is March 14th. According to Twitter, KYC and migration should need to be completed by 14 march., but since I’ve already completed the earlier steps, it seems like the core team needs to handle the rest. If your KYC in review or tentative approval then there is no action required. All you need is wait patiently until your KYC fully approved.
Its been almost 10months now since my 9th step is yellow/Orange and waiting for pi to migrate. but its not being migrated. am i going to lose these hard earned pi’s after so many months of work ??

I completed all 8 steps but the app referred me to secure my account though I try to verify my account phone number but it is not working after I sent the sms to the number provided. Any help
The reason may be that there are a large number of attempts to verify the phone number by other users, which affects the speed of the verification process.
The ideal solution to such a problem is to wait and try again later, but do not send the verification message more than twice within a short period. Doing so will block your messages on the system.
Also, there is more than one number to send the verification message, try another number for another country from the list that appears to you.

Migration can be done by the network. All you need to do is waiting since the step 9 is in orange.

no, the migreer to mainnet status is orange and says “there is a waiting period of 14 days. its 30 days now and still nothing happend.
My bother did this step a year ago and his migreer to mainnet is completed after 14 days.
The 14 days waiting period starts after the migration.
Once your Pi get migrated it will be locked for 14 days in your wallet, that in case you don’t have a lockup settings. If you set a lockup settings that means the period will be 14 days + the duration of your lockup.

There is difference between completing KYC before the deadline and migration step 9.
KYC should be completed before 14 March if you have already completed 30 mining sessions.
Migration in step 9 of mainnet checklist can be done automatically, in this step all you need to do is waiting patiently.
